- = ABOUT THE GOODLE BOYS = -
In late 2011, Fred Daniell formed The Goodle Boys around a passion for old-timey music. The Boys began working on bluegrass, old-time country, traditional folk and blues, and other Americana tunes, and developed a style drawing from the greats in these genres, with a contemporary sensibility.
In addition to Daniell on mandolin, guitar, and banjo, The Boys include Brother James on bass, Matt Graser on banjo, guitar, and harmonica, and Greg Longeway on guitar, dobro, and harmonica. They are often joined by guests on guitar, fiddle, harp, and/or dobro. They currently play regularly in the Greater Cincinnati region, and often make road trips to play long-weekend mini-tours in various locations in the midwest and around the country.
